Post by: jmo on May 02, 2010, 07:27:59 pm
I have a question, I recently have a Green Anole here are the stuff i have for him: Log, food heating light, humid box, basking rock (no heater), and plants. Can you please explain how to keep a cage humid?

                              Thanks: JMO

lol, wow...

k bro, here it is. Heat rises, with it goes humidity. Since I assume you're using a glass tank with a screen top you need to try to cover most of the top with saran wrap and scotch tape to keep that humidity in, while leaving a small corner open for ventilation. With any exposed wood or dirt in the cage, it's gonna be hard so you may want to consider adding some live plants, or removing the wood and switching to artificial plastic vines and plants. Get a small undertank heater, just enough to heat a spot where you will set a ceramic water dish up to about 90 degrees. Should have humidity pouring out your ears at this point and can toss that spray bottle in the trash. Or save it incase you have to mix up mite medication or anything like that in the future.
